Refunds:

Purchasing a service is not like purchasing a product. When you purchase a product the work to create that product has already been completed on the item. Hence, a requesting a refund is as simple as returning the product.

Yet, with a website it’s very different. Websites are not finished when you purchase them – quite the contrary. When you make your purchase here at The Website Habitat it begins a chain reaction of events, installations and actual work that begins with your order and increases over a series of days and weeks until your website is complete. That means that when you’ve purchased your website, our team is putting time in on it and the members of our team are paid for the time they work on your website.

At the same time we understand that circumstances may require you to cancel work you’ve ordered with us. So what we’ve done is create what we feel is a fair and forward-thinking refund policy. It as follows:

  • Within 2 Business Days – 100% refund minus $75 in handling fees.
  • 2-10 Business Days (basically 2 weeks) – 50% refund
  • After 10 Business Days – no refund can be made available.
    If you cancel services with us after 10 business days, we’re happy to award you 50% of your total purchase as a future service credit. This means you may apply 50% of your total purchase to either a website or to any of our other products or services. We’ll record and keep track of your credit and you have up to 9 months from the date of your purchase to use your credit. After 9 months, the credit is void.

Hourly Rates

Unless otherwise stated, our hourly rate for any work done through The Website Habitat is $85/hour.

Proposals

All proposals are good for 30 days from the date on the proposal. After 30 days the quote on the proposal may or may not be accurate. If your proposal goes beyond 30 days, please contact us for any updates.
